RR Cue Cases supports the Disability Snooker Community

It has been announced today that RR Cue Cases will support the World Disability Billiards and Snooker Association (WDBS) by providing the 'Player of the Season' award.

The WDBS was launched in September 2015 having been created to give more people with disabilities the opportunity to play cue sports.

Since its formation the WDBS has successfully staged several snooker events for people with disabilities, including both open days and competitive tournaments. Events are open to people with a range of physical, learning and sensory disabilities.

The WDBS also recently announced that snooker legend Shaun Murphy and Olympic/Paralympic broadcaster Rob Walker have both agreed to become WDBS ambassadors ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Founded by WPBSA World Snooker Coach Rob Reed, RR Cue Cases Ltd is a UK company which provides the premium brand of bespoke handmade cue cases industry wide. Former ranking event winner Dominic Dale is among many players worldwide who have invested in one of their top of the range bespoke leather cases.

Founder and CEO of RR Cue Cases, Rob Reed stated:

"WDBS is an outstanding organisation providing ultimate inclusivity and opportunity in our incredible sport. We at RR Cue Cases Ltd are privileged to be able to contribute and show support for the great work that WDBS does. The WDBS team and RR Cue Cases team have always shared the same values when it comes to the sport and we are thrilled to be able to work together for a common purpose."

RR Cue Cases will provide an exclusive customised case for the WDBS player voted as the 'Player of the Season' by the WDBS board members.

The design will be revealed shortly before the first presentation of the prize at the end of the 2018/19 season. Nigel Mawer QPM, WDBS Chairman said:

"This is another fantastic step in our development and knowing the quality and commitment of our existing player base I am sure that there will be a number of contenders to become our first Player of the Season. I would like to thank RR Cue Cases for their support by generously providing what I know will be a very special prize for the winner."
